Do I need a 5.1 Surround System or better to just simply listen to a blu-ray movie?

If I get just a HDTV and a blu-ray player… will I get audio for the blu-ray movie? Obviously not surround sound, but will I at least get sound from the TV’s speakers? Lame question I’m sure, but this is all new to me.

Dolby Digital Pro Logic II Music vs. Movie vs. Emulation, What is the difference and which is better?

Hi, I recently got a surround sound system for my room, when hooked up to my Playstation 3 There are different sound settings:
Dolby Pro Logic II Music
Dolby Pro Logic II Movie
Dolby Emulation
I am very confused on what the difference is between the three. Any help is appreciated!

Is Bose A Better Choice For Wireless Speakers For Home Stereo Surround System?

I like Bose, had it in my 87 Caddy. It was such crisp and pure sound with distinctive clarity.
Bose has never made good consumer speaker. They just sell a gimmick to the typical uninformed consumer. Their marketing works…you and many others on here think they are good for some reason.
